LABRIS laboratories successfully passed supervision by the Estonian Accreditation Centre

On April 23-24, 2024, regular supervision visits by the Estonian Accreditation Centre (EAK) took place at LABRIS laboratories in Kuressaare, Tallinn, and Tartu. The conclusion of the EAK assessment team was that the laboratories continue to meet accreditation requirements.

During the visit, the scope of accreditation was expanded for 7 methods.

In the virology-serology department, the accredited methods list was supplemented with the determination of viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus antigen by ELISA.

In the Tartu chemistry department, the methodology for determining dry extract in spirits was accredited, and in addition, the determination of volatile basic nitrogen and total acidity indicators in the spirit matrix was expanded.

In the LABRIS Saaremaa department, the methodology for determining chemical oxygen demand was accredited in sewage and wastewater.

In the chemical laboratory of the Tallinn department of LABRIS, the accredited methods list was supplemented with the determination of multiple mycotoxins (aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2, ochratoxin A, DON, ZON, T-2/HT-2, fumonisins FB1 and FB2) in wheat, rice, corn, and corn flakes.

In addition, the flexible accreditation scope was expanded in the Tallinn department's chemical laboratory for five methods: determination of pesticide residues, determination of pesticide residues with hydrolysis, determination of maleic hydrazide residue, determination of polar pesticide residues, and determination of chloromequat, mepiquat, and cyromazine residues.
